It’s a Common Picture of a huge crowd standing before the Railway Hospital reception Counters for registration for Doctor consultations at Out Patient Department (OPD) and also at the Emergency Registration Counters. But you can skip these queues and consult the doctors without visiting the Reception.
Railway Healthcare department introduced the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) as a part of the IT implementation for healthcare management. The “Queue Management system” is a part of the HMIS and one can take the advantage of HMIS App to skip the reception for registration tasks not only at Central Hospitals but the Railway network hospitals wherever the HMIS is implemented. HMIS App can ease your registration process for Doctor consultations, Diagnostic services, and other services.
How to Use the HMIS App for Registration of Doctor Consultation
Step 1
Download the HMIS app on your Mobile. You can download it from Playstore for Android Phones and from Appstore for Apple Phones. Complete the step-by-step registration process for the Installation and Activation of your account.
Step 2
You will find a poster in front of every clinic as shown below. These Posters will have a “QR code” to scan for self-registration at that particular clinic. Remember, You have to scan that particular Poster QR code placed at the clinic location, in which you would like to visit or for consultation with your preferred doctor.
Step 3
Open the HMIS App on your mobile and go to Self Registration Button shown below. A scanner will be opened to scan the QR Code. Scan the QR code of the above Poster and it’s done. Your registration is complete and you can visit the doctor.
Now A “Digital Queue Token” with a unique number & Barcode is generated and will be shown in your HMIS App. This Digital Queue Token is used for all subsequent services like availing Diagnostic services, Collection of Medicines at the Pharmacy, etc. on that particular day.
